From 2003 to 2006 I was Arts Co-ordinator for Wildspaces in Bath & North East Somerset. This nation-wide initiative sought to designate new Local Nature Reserves (LNRs) increase the public's engagement with them. In collaboration with an ecologist I developed the use of seven urban fringe sites and supported local peoples' involvement in their management by setting up Friends groups, making links with nearby schools and providing arts activities such as film making and oral history alongside wildlife and landscape management projects.
